Have you considered living in rural Saskatchewan?

Only every time I hear about it. I'm tired of crowds. Where do I send my resume?

You can just move. Not many people will notice here if you squat an abandoned farmhouse.

Lowland snow events in December are uncommon here, maybe once a decade.  Seems to be better odds in January/February.

I hate that this joke made me laugh.

My exact reaction to that strobbery. Sigh. Okay, we're even now.

My brain knows that, but my heart has the cliff mass blog up and ready every morning in the hopes that 44 °, wet and miserable somehow turns into winter wonderland.

I check out Cliff Mass and some longer range models too. I always hope to see that cold snap in the 8-14 day outlooks, but so far, nothing exciting for the rest of this year . However, the longest range easily accessible model with any consistent resolution (NWS 8-14) is hinting at lower than normal temps for the end of the month - so maybe.

87 inches so far this winter.

Despite a mid-november 8 inches, we’ve had pleasantly little snow here so far this year. Hopefully it keeps up, but the worst of it is always in Jan/Feb.

I'm blanking on his name, but the guy who lives in Tahoe always posts pictures of snow up to the midway point of his 2nd floor. It's hard for me to fathom that kind of thing, even with a visual aid...

November, April, were most likely when I was a wee lad. February has been making a stead comeback the last decade though.

I don’t recall a real arctic blast in April, but in ye olden days I remember some in December, January, and February. I also remember being stuck in Vancouver for an unplanned night just befor e Thanksgiving 2010 because Seatac closed due to snow.  Last February was one to remember, and I also recall February 1989 was a goodie.

April 2001, Mukilteo. We got two feet of snow, half of which was melted by 5pm the next day.

Some kind of weird convergence zone?

I recall something similar in December 2008 in Bellevue - the central eastside got dumped on, I think we had around 20", but 10 miles to the north or south had much less.
